Our Vision

| At Calvary, our vision and hope is that our church is a community where people can belong, become like Christ, and be a blessing to the world. One way of seeking to fulfill this visions by creating opportunities for people
to connect with other believers in a larger group setting called Adult Bible Fellowships (“ABF”). In the past, these groups have been known as “Adult Sunday School Classes” or “Adult Congregations,” but the focus continues to be
to create opportunities for adults to develop relationships and study God's Word together. |
| Belong: ABF's provide a community where people can “do life” together by developing relationships where people can find accountability, encouragement, comfort, fellowship....and even fun! A variety of social activities are
scheduled within each ABF to provide a fun and welcome atmosphere for people to connect, establish and maintain relationships. |
Become Like Christ: Calvary offers a variety of ABF's with a sensitivity to the different levels of spiritual maturity and stages of life. Topics are offered with a focus on developing a Biblical World View and may include:
- topical studies (parenting, relationships, finances, contemporary issues etc.)
- book studies and in-depth Bible/theological studies
Elective type courses may be offered at varying times during the year, including Wednesday Community Life Night. |
| Be a Blessing: Each ABF is unique in the way it meets the needs of its group, the community and the world. ABF's provide a variety of both social and ministry opportunities depending on the age, interests and collective gifts of
the individual groups. Through ABF's, Calvary has seen the outgrowth of local and global outreach through such ministries as short term missions trips and Stepp'n Out, among others.
