Women want social outlets and support during all stages of life. Calvary Church offers places to befriend other Moms, and many Bible studies to help all women grow in faith. Whether you have a favorite Bible study writer or prefer video teaching, there are study options for you. (Of course you’re ultimately a fan of Jesus… those teachers are just His messengers.)

Tens of thousands of women worldwide will participate in the IF:Gathering via livestream from a sold-out event in Dallas, Texas. With a variety of cultures and denominations represented, these women hold one thing in common: they want to live like God is real. The IF:Gathering provides space for women to wrestle with essential questions of faith, to dream, and to connect during a two-day gathering.

The life and ministry of Christ was marked by his overwhelming compassion for people. And his heart is the same today. As believers, we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, and extend his extravagant love to a broken world. Based on Luke 1-13, this study examines the very heartbeat of our Savior, and explores how Jesus connected with hurting people in an authentic and powerful way. This study—part of Dr. Warren Wiersbe’s best-selling “BE” commentary series—is filled with moving examples of Christ’s ministry to people of all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. It will inspire you to share his love with the world around you.

Moms Connect

Find your support for parenting beyond preschool. Moms Connect encourages women in parenting kids through school years and beyond. Mentor Moms are sprinkled throughout the discussion groups to help with perspective on parenting as they bring the wisdom that comes with experience. This group is open to women outside of Calvary Church as well!

The morning is usually structured with small group discussion time, and large group learning via video, panel discussion, or live teaching. Sometimes the morning focus is a community service project. The point is to connect with other mothers and grow in a community in a variety of ways. And of course, there will be food—because where there are women, there will be treats.

2019-2020 Book Topics

Join us this fall for a series based on a few of our favorite books. The topics will focus on personal spiritual development and soul care, with relevant parenting implications. We will utilize guest speakers, live panels, radio and video interviews of authors to explore the content of each book. It isn’t necessary to have read the material to benefit but we’re guessing you’ll want to pick up a copy after you are introduced to each! If you want to take advantage of that Amazon Prime membership and grab the books early, here’s the list of the books to be discussed:

  • The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery by Ian Morgan Cron & Suzanne Stabile
  • Gist: The Essence of Raising Life-Ready Kids by Michael Anderson, LP and Timothy Johanson, MD
  • Triggers: Exchanging Parents’ Angry Reactions for Gentle Biblical Responses by Amber Lia and Wendy Speake
