Women want social outlets and support during all stages of life. Calvary Church offers places to befriend other Moms, and many Bible studies to help all women grow in faith. Whether you have a favorite Bible study writer or prefer video teaching, there are study options for you. (Of course you’re ultimately a fan of Jesus… those teachers are just His messengers.)

Precept Study
Tuesdays, September 18-November 13 / 9:30-11:30am

1 & 2 Peter and Jude
Study by Tom Wright
Tuesdays, September 18-November 13 / 9:30-11:30am
Roseville Campus / Room 8

Peter and Jude provide answers for how a Christian is supposed to live in a hostile, unbelieving world: Abandon the old pagan ways. Learn the new habit of love. Put on the mental armor that will make you strong to face suffering that may come. These nine studies show you the wisdom of their words for us today and remind you, in the midst of hardship, that the God who deserves all praise is still “the one who is able to keep you standing upright.

Grave Robber
Study by Mark Batterson
Tuesdays, September 18-November 13 / 9:30-11:30am
Roseville Campus / Rooms 1-3

Our impossible situations are God’s greatest opportunity to reveal His glory. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that God still does miracles. Maybe we’d like to see miracles, but it’s hard to see past our petty, daily problems. All that is about to change, like water into wine. Author Mark Batterson (The Circle Maker) reveals the incredible power of the seven miraculous signs of Jesus found in the Gospel of John, showing how they are not simply something Jesus did in the past but also something He wants to do now, in the present

Find your support for parenting beyond preschool. Moms Connect encourages women in parenting kids through school years and beyond. Mentor Moms are sprinkled throughout the discussion groups to help with perspective on parenting as they bring the wisdom that comes with experience. This group is open to women outside of Calvary Church as well!

The morning is usually structured with small group discussion time, and large group learning via video, panel discussion, or live teaching. Sometimes the morning focus is a community service project. The point is to connect with other mothers and grow in community in a variety of ways. And of course there will be food—because where there are women, there will be treats!

Study for 2018-2019

This year, we will shape our meetings around a video series called “Make it Count” by Karen Stubbs. Every one of us enters motherhood looking for guarantees. Use this product and you’ll get these results. Follow this approach to discipline and change that behavior. But, any mom will also acknowledge, there are no guarantees in life! Even if we do everything “right” it doesn’t mean our children will turn out the way we want. Make it Count will help us wrestle with this tension and ultimately encourage us to focus on the things we can control, not on the things we can’t. You’ll come away encouraged and equipped for this crazy, wonderful journey of motherhood! Get to know Karen by watching this.

If interested in joining the study this fall, contact the Moms Connect leadership team here.
