MARRIAGE AND FAMILY COUNSELING
Calvary Church values healthy marriages and families. Married couples have an opportunity for marriage enrichment through various events, and couples who have the need for counseling can be connected with a network of marriage and family counselors.
Relationships are hard work, and every couple needs a tune-up now and then. This one-day workshop is for all couples, whether engaged, newly married, or married for years. Once you register, you’ll be emailed a packet to fill out and this information will be used throughout the workshop. Registering early is crucial! Taught by marriage expert Pam Hulstrand. Cost $50/couple. Scholarships available upon request—contact Ben Tyvoll.
Workshop Saturday, April 4, 2020 / 9am-3:30pm
Christian couples are at risk for divorce just as much as non-Christian couples. Pre-marital counseling is a great first step for couples wanting to get married and stay married! Calvary Church offers many tools to start you off right in your marriage—individual counsel with a pastor, connection with a mentor couple, a weekend seminar with experts in a variety of fields, and other direction that can be tailored just to you and your spouse-to-be.
Hot topics covered in pre-marital counseling include:
- Understanding your family of origin
- The Biblical understanding of marriage
- Conflict resolution
- Sexual intimacy
- Roles in marriage
- Legal issues
- Expectations going into marriage
You’re ready to set the date. Congratulations! If you’re a member or regular attender and you’ve decided not to get married in a barn or at a golf course, there are a variety of indoor facilities available for you between Calvary Church’s two campuses—Roseville and White Bear. If getting married in the great outdoors or at another venue, one of our pastors can officiate, once you’ve completed our pre-marriage counseling sessions.
