Short-term Impact Trips

Being the hands and feet of Jesus is one way to show God’s love. Young and old have invested their time and talents in short-term service trips, and each and every person has said their faith grew more than they thought possible. If you’re curious about serving at home or abroad, start praying about future opportunities. If you’re ready to take a leap of faith, here’s what’s next:

FEBRUARY—Dominican Republic

Work on projects in Los Canos such as leading VBS, doing home visits with elderly and needy people. You’ll be building relationships with community leaders, as well as Food for the Hungry staff.

Haiti team will work with Impact Partners Miradieu and Dula Estinvil in captial city Port-au-Prince. Projects include construction, visiting Sisters of Charity AIDS hospice (and home for malnourished children), and ministering at several other partner orphanage sites.

APRIL—Jordan and Israel

Impact Partners Charles and Beverly Kohl in Jordan, and Rami Fellimon in Israel are hosting this trip. In Jordan, the team will visit Wadi Rum and Petra to gain a better understanding of spiritual challenges in the Middle East. You’ll work with a Syrian Refugee Ministry, connect with a ministry to women in sex trafficking, and attend an Arabic church service in Amman. Visit Jerusalem and the West Bank, and partner with Jerusalem Evangelistic Outreach. The team will also tour some of the most important biblical sites in Jerusalem.
