God has called believers to step outside their cultural comfort zones and make a difference in the lives of others. How? It’s really quite simple—start by helping just one person. As World Vision founder Bob Pierce once said, “Don’t fail to do something just because you can’t do everything.” Read on for ways to help out Impact partners or get involved with short-term missions.

Short-term Impact Trips

Being the hands and feet of Jesus is one way to show God’s love. Young and old have invested their time and talents in short-term service trips, and each and every person has said their faith grew more than they thought possible. If you’re curious about serving at home or abroad, start praying about future opportunities. If you’re ready to take a leap of faith, here’s what’s next:

Host Homes

You can make a difference in the lives of others by hosting a Japanese college student studying at Bethel University for four weeks this winter. Share your love and faith with a student and plant a seed. Those who have hosted in the past have been greatly blessed by meeting a young student from across the ocean. It’s kind of a fun way to travel the world without having to purchase a plane ticket!

Students take classes during the day and spend evenings and weekends with you. Transportation to and from Bethel is provided as well as a stipend. 50 additional students need housing this year, so please pray about this opportunity to help fill the need.
