Music is a great vehicle for kids to learn. You know how you get a song stuck in your head? Then you know how effective music is for teaching. Why not have those songs swirling in your kid’s head be about God? Choir gives kids the chance to worship through song, develop musical skills, and have fun together. Calvary kids can be involved in music with our annual Christmas program, the February musical, and Palm Sunday. There are also opportunities for kids to be part of worship services on occasion. Those invitations can be found in weekly Worship Folders, enews, or on the website.

The musical this year is called Faith News. The setting for the musical is a heavenly news broadcast originating inside the Pearly Gates, hosted by two angelic news anchors, Cameron Flowers and Summer Showers. Faith News brings your favorite Bible stories to life with catchy music as reporters interview biblical heroes.

  • For Grades 2-6.
  • All kids who want to be in the show will get a CD of the musical at the auditions to start learning the songs.
  • All kids in the musical can be involved in creating and building props, costumes, sets, and coming up with choreography.
